OurNorth American Automotive team is searching for an experienced ElectricalEngineering professional with heavy Controls and PLC experience. Key Responsibilities: Develops the electrical designs and schematics for test and machinesystems that may involve sophisticated proprietary automation and controlsystems, electro-mechanical equipment, instrumentation, PLC's, data acquisitionsystems and hydraulic/pneumatic controls. Develops specifications base on testing requirements for new equipmentor applications under development by HORIBA. This may include conceptual design, detailed product design, verificationand validation test plans. Applies standards such as NEC, UL, IEC, IEEE, NFPA and OSHA to productand system design. Providesguidance to project team during the design process. Ensuring one line diagrams, control schematiclayouts and panel layouts are created according to recognized standards. Standardizesproduct drawings to match HORIBA worldwide products and facilitates consistencyin design philosophy and material. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required. Experienceusing AutoCAD Electrical. Knowledgeof adjustable speed drive systems. Including the ability to properly size and select major systemcomponents while ensuring their full compatibility (e.g. understanding powerdistribution systems, one line diagrams and major power system components) Design/Analysisincluding knowledge of power system per unit analysis method, short circuitcurrent analysis, power quality analysis, arc flash calculations.
