Overview The Corrosion Control group is a dynamic group involved in various aspects of corrosion around the company. The Junior Electrical Technician will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, inspecting and installing various cathodic protection systems.Responsibilities Core Responsibilities Duties include testing cathodic protection systems Troubleshooting cathodic protection faults Inspecting coatings and steel structures for atmospheric corrosion Installing electrical components and equipment Calculating formulas to establish testing criteria Locate underground facilities using instrumentation Identifying hazards and construction activities near gas transmission mainsQualifications Required Education/Experience High School Diploma/GED and Relevant technical experience or Technical Certification or Associate's Degree Electrical Technology or equivalentRelevant Work Experience Have understanding of DC electricity, as well as, basic understanding of AC electricity. Required and Able to read M&S plates and pipe @type feeder prints. Required and Basic knowledge of computer systems. Required and Ability to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Required and Willing and able to work extended working hours (weekdays and weekends). Required and Will be required to progress/qualify for the the Corrosion Control Electrical Technician placement exam. Required and Must complete all required Operator Qualified tasks for Jr. Electrical Technician within 3 months.
