POSITION: CHILD HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER DIVISION: Early Childhood Development
SUMMARY: The Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, Inc., has provided workforce, education, and early childhood educational services to the communities we have served for over 40 years. The Child Health and Safety Manager will assist in managing the Head Start program as a whole with specific responsibilities in health, dental and nutritional needs of children. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate self-starter, with excellent organizational, communication skills and the ability to interact with a varied population of individuals.
PURPOSE: Oversees the functions and supervision of health, safety and nutrition in the early childhood development division in accordance with the Administration for Children and Families [ACF] performance standards, Head Start regulations and Children and Adult Care Food Program [CACFP].
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing or Registered Nurse with certification or BA/BS in Nutrition, Public Health or related field with a commitment to complete the Management Training Program within 12 months of hire.
Experience: Two (2) years' experience in health/nutrition services and community health. One (1) year experience in management level/supervisory position.
