UniFirst First Aid + Safety is seeking a reliable and hardworking Lead Machine Technician to join our community. As a Lead Machine Technician, you will beresponsible for effectively supervising set up, preventive maintenance, and repair activities of the packaging equipment to meet the production schedules while complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and corporate standards of quality as well as health and safety. When working with UniFirst First Aid + Safety we provide a variety of shifts. Our standard is a 5-day work week, enjoy two days off a week. We have an immediate opening and provide on the job training.

What you'll be doing:
Responsible for on-the-floor support of GMP operations.
Ensure work areas and job functions are performed safely and efficiently, following company policies, cGMP, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) instructions.
Assign technicians to set-up machines to meet schedule and production demands.
Assign and assist technicians with machine set-up, teardown, and cleaning to meet production demands and SOP's
Provide supervision and training to techs with multiple shop machines.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of machines and auxiliary equipment. Repair, rebuild, and modify equipment as needed.
Support continuous training to promote technicians and technician assistants' growth.
Support the Packaging Supervisor by assigning tasks to operators or have them report directly to the Packaging Supervisor for assignments when machines are down
Maintain records and analyze equipment issues to determine possible patterns
Support all quality and regulatory objectives.
Communicate concerns about personnel, processes, or production to the Packaging Supervisor.Work with management to address Team Partner complaints, suggestions, questions, and conflicts in accordance with the guidelines established in the Team Partner Handbook and company policies/procedures.
Maintain employee morale and discipline with fairness and impartiality.
Strive for continuous improvement in quality performance through training, effective leadership, and follow-up.
Maintain safe working conditions throughout the production area by taking corrective action on unsafe conditions or acts. Responsible for ensuring incident reports and corrective actions are completed with accuracy and in timely manner and compliance is adhered to with established safety standards, including lockout/ tag out, and other required programs.
Perform all other duties as assigned per management.
Qualifications
What we're looking for:
High School education and/or GED equivalent
Must be 18 years of age or older.
5+ years of direct experience in primary packaging of solid dose pharmaceuticals.
Good knowledge of Form / Fill / Seal packaging equipment andcGMP manufacturing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc)
Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of machining tools (lathe, drills press, etc.) and proficient in electronics/electricity.
Self-motivated with ability to work in a team environment and independently
Good verbal and written communications skills.Able to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Basic math skills including fractions and percentages.
Must be able to stand, bend, reach and work on feet for long periods of time
Ability to lift and carry 60 lbs.
