RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a variety of radiologic procedures.
Provides patient care during procedures.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Standing, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
Continuous: stooping/bending; reaching above and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object, pushing/pulling usual weight up to 50 pounds of force.
Frequent: twisting body, lifting usual weight with assistance up to 50 pounds; carrying up to 40 pounds; reaching at shoulders, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods of time.
Occasional: sitting, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting.
II. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions; cold temperatures due to the air conditioning.
Subjected to noise/vibration from film processors.
Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, mechanical/electrical units, chemicals and radiation.
Work Environment is fast paced and high stressed due to patient census.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
Hawaii State license as a Radiologic Technologist.
Current BLS certification.
B. EXPERIENCE:
One (1) year experience in an acute care facility preferred.
