Job Summary
A Principal Signal Processing and System Design Engineer is a versatile
Electrical/Electronic Hardware Engineer that integrates electrical,
mechanical, optics, software, and their associated manufacturing methods
into our product designs and manufacturing processes. This includes the
design of components used in optical and magnetic encoders, the
implementation of microelectronics, and the overall electrical design
architecture. The ideal Principal Signal and Systems Design Engineer has
extensive knowledge in hardware and embedded software product design as
well as experience with ASICs, FPGAs, smart sensors, optical devices,
and real-time industrial communication busses.
Job Responsibilities:\
Developing, implementing and updating digital and analog electrical
hardware systems\
Improving digital and analog signal processing to increase speed,
accuracy, SNR, and resolution.\
Understanding of EMC/EMI/ESD standards\
Integrating embedded systems using a variety of protocols\
Researching electrical hardware technologies to benefit our product
offering\
Providing competitive analysis of technical aspects of competitors
offerings\
Supporting and/or creating new product designs\
Developing and executing project scopes, cost estimates, feasibility,
and schedules\
Managing architecture of electrical products\
Solving complex or difficult electronic or signal problems\
Working with customer to define products and specifications
requirements\
Other engineering duties as assigned
