Comark, Milford MA is seeking a highly motivated Electro-Mechanical Assembler with personal standards of performance to support our growing manufacturing operations. This person reports to the Milford base Manufacturing Supervisor.
Electro-Mechanical Assembler
The Electro-Mechanical Assembler works in a one-piece flow cell performing bench-@type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies, using hand tools. This is for the specialized computers and displays and requires assembling ESD sensitive delicate components and cables. Positive attitude and team player. Ability to read and write English. Able to work with limited supervision in a team environment. Demonstrate knowledge/capability to build and possibly do limited testing on units on manufacturing floor.
Technical Capacity-ability to understand the parts, drawings and bill of materials (BOM).
Learning Orientation-ability/desire to learn different product lines and Lean manufacturing.
Time Management-ability to work effectively in fixed capacity production line.
Thoroughness-extremely attentive to accuracy and detail.
Team Player-works well as a member of a team or a group
Responsibilities:
Function in Lean manufacturing environment, adding value by reducing waste.
Understands Assemble/test parts using drawings, bill of material.
Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods, including crimping is required
Ability to use common hand and power tolls, may require use of specialized tools
Follow documented procedures in fitting, adjusting and proper functioning of parts
Meet job completion and ship dates
Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the production supervisor
Maintain good housekeeping of area
Assist in other manufacturing cells as required
Assembly requires medium to heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.
