The Opportunity:
This is a unique opportunity for experienced BDRs or sales professionals to build a significant, long-term income stream through a highly competitive recurring commission model. You will be responsible for the initial stages of the sales process – identifying and qualifying potential clients – before handing them off to an expert sales team to close the deal. Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and research potential business clients requiring VoIP solutions, focusing on those needing 10 or more phone lines (larger opportunities and multi-location businesses are highly valued).
- Outreach: Initiate contact with key decision-makers within target organizations via phone, email, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other relevant channels.
- Qualification: Engage prospects in conversations to understand their current phone system, identify pain points (e.g., cost, reliability, features), assess their interest in exploring new solutions like cost savings or improved functionality, and determine if they meet the minimum size requirement.
- Information Gathering: Collect crucial lead information, including accurate contact details, business needs, current provider (if possible), and strive to obtain a copy of their most recent phone bill to facilitate tailored proposals.
- Lead Handoff: Effectively transition qualified leads and all gathered intelligence to the designated sales team members for formal proposals and closing.
- Collaboration & Learning: Maintain clear communication with the sales team and potentially listen in on initial sales calls to enhance your understanding of the product and sales process, creating a path for increased responsibility and commission.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities and lead progression within the provided system/CRM.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Proven track record of success in B2B lead generation, sales development (SDR), or a similar role, preferably with 2+ years of experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to professionally engage decision-makers.
- Strong ability to ask effective qualifying questions and actively listen to understand prospect needs.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and disciplined with a strong work ethic – comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
- Resilient and persistent, able to handle rejection and maintain consistent outreach efforts.
- Preferred:
- Experience in the SaaS, telecommunications, or IT services industry is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools.
- Understanding of basic business phone system concepts or VoIP technology.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Uncapped Lifetime Recurring Commission: Earn a highly competitive 15% recurring commission paid monthly on the revenue generated from your closed leads for the entire lifetime of the customer contract. (Minimum contract term is 3 years, with many clients staying 5-10+ years).
- Earning Example: Your 15% lifetime commission on a single 100-phone deal at $20/phone/month means $10,800 earned over the 3-year minimum term alone. Potential grows significantly as clients often stay 5-10+ years.
