POSITION OVERVIEW (Job Summary):
The CPM Process Solutions Segment has a unique opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer in our capital equipment manufacturing facility in St. Charles, MO. This is an opportunity to join a highly successful business with advancement opportunities. We are looking for a highly motivated detail-oriented person with strong technical mechanical aptitude coupled with proficient organizational skills and outstanding people skills.
SALARY RANGE:
$75,000 to $85,000 DOE
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Interpretation of customer specification and requirements leading to production of detailed functional design specifications.
Undertake all aspects of design industrial control panels including conceptual design, detailed design and production of detailed drawings.
Production of electrical Schematic Diagrams & General Arrangements using AutoCAD Electrical.
Assisting in specifying and selecting control panel components and mounting hardware.
Calculation and specification of drive and motor sizes.
Design and layout of power distribution schematics (600VAC and less)
Design and production of PLC I/0 schematics and associated attributes.
Liaise with customers and suppliers.
Provide support to the production department/team.
Plan, organize and manage work in conjunction with the Managers and production team to required timescales.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge and application of UL508A standards for industrial control panels.
Experienced in design & specification of PLC and Drive control systems (Allen Bradley/Siemens/Omron).
Preferably an experienced user of AutoCAD (AutoCAD Electrical experience preferable but not essential).
Preferably a 'Time Served' Electrical Engineer with a sound understanding of control systems.
Be motivated & work well both as part of a team or individually on projects.
Must be well presented and possess good interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
5 years' experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Prolonged periods of standing.
Bending, lifting, pulling, pushing.
Withstand uncontrolled environment, winter, summer, spring, fall, seasons in a manufacturing atmosphere.
