Description We are offering a contract for a permanent employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in Broadview, Illinois. This role is within the foodservice distribution industry, where you will be handling a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support day-to-day operations. You'll collaborate closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth communication, efficient documentation, and prompt customer service.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate effective communication across departments
Manage and direct inbound and outbound calls
Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the office staff and leadership
Handle email correspondence and schedule appointments as needed
Ensure accurate preparation, organization, and maintenance of documents and records
Assist in the processing of orders and data entry tasks
Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements when necessary
Exhibit proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Scan and manage documents in an organized manner
Facilitate virtual meetings when required. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
Proven ability to handle and route inbound calls effectively.
Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with all clients.
Proficient in data entry, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Excellent email correspondence skills; able to communicate clearly and concisely.
Experience with both inbound and outbound call management.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, with the ability to manage emails, contacts, and calendars.
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to create and edit presentations.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, with the ability to create and edit documents.
Experience in scheduling appointments, managing calendars and coordinating meetings.
Previous experience in administrative assistance, able to support a variety of office functions.
Skilled at document scanning, ensuring all documents are accurately digitized.
