Description
We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to become a part of our team in Baltimore, Maryland. Your responsibilities will mainly involve customer service and administrative duties, with an emphasis on managing cash transactions. This position offers a contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Offer administrative assistance to the cashiering department
Serve as the initial contact point for visitors
Oversee the deposit of funds into debit spending accounts
Accept, post, and reconcile cash regularly
Ensure daily receipt of check and credit card payments
Validate and distribute petty cash reimbursements as required
Carry out the closing and reconciliation of the credit card terminal
Monitor and respond to emails in a timely and detail oriented manner
Requirements - Possess at least 1 year of experience in an accounting or clerical role
Proficient in handling customer service interactions and queries
Demonstrated experience in managing cash deposits
Skilled in handling cash disbursements effectively and efficiently
Experience in managing cash drawers, ensuring accuracy and security
Proven ability to handle cash, with focus on accuracy and accountability
Experience in managing deposits, both cash and check
Ability to reconcile cash at the end of each day or shift
Demonstrated experience in managing petty cash and petty cash accounts
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy in all transactions.
