This position is a member of our Air Permits Division.
HERES WHAT YOULL BE DOING...
Provide advanced technical and administrative support for the section managers and the permit engineering staff of the Air Permits Division of the TCEQ.
Prepare documents for publication to the web. Ensure all documents meet agency standards and pass accessibility requirements.
Design, edit, and proofread correspondence, technical documents, and division publications such as forms and guidance documents.
Train technical and administrative support staff engaged in document creation and editing on the accessibility process, including division and agency accessibility and web publication standards. Prepare written guidance and operating procedures on processes for creating or modifying division documents.
Qualifications: KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Experience composing, editing, and proofreading internal/external communication, forms and guidance documentation for proper format, spelling, grammar, punctuation, content, and clarity.
Experience in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Experience creating accessible documents or document remediation.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from a standard senior high school or its equivalent plus five years of full-time experience providing administrative support in an office setting.
Fifteen semester hours from an accredited college or university may be substituted for each six months of the required experience with a maximum substitution of four years.
OR
Two years as an Administrative Assistant IV at TCEQ.

CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEES
This position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within theAdministrative Assistant Vstate classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in theAdministrative Assistant V series.
