Westinghouse Global Accounting is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst within the Technical Accounting and External Reporting Team that will be focused on preparation of the company's financial statements, accounting for certain complex or technical areas, ad-hoc reporting in response to stakeholder financial information requests and audit coordination.
Your Day to Day:
Contribute to parent company financial reporting under IFRS and the creation of standalone company financial statements and accompanying footnotes under US GAAP
Ensure proper accounting for significant accounting areas such as, but not limited to, leases, pension and asset retirement obligations
Perform technical accounting research and apply US GAAP guidance to Westinghousetransactions
Prepare account reconciliations and provide information to explain period-to-period actual variance analysis
Assist in monthly general ledger closings, including preparation and processing of accounting entries using SAP
Assist with coordination of the quarterly and annual external audit acting as a liaison between Westinghouse personnel and auditors
Prepare various schedules and reports to support audit requirements and questions from Westinghoue leadership or its owners
Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
4+ years accounting/finance experience, public accounting experience a plus
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus
Knowledge of accounting processes, US GAAP and/or IFRS; financial statement development, including creation, formatting, and necessary supporting documentation
Knowledge of and adaptability to accounting systems and financial reporting tools - experience with SAP, BlackLine and Workiva a plus
Working within a SOX environment
