Description
We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a great team in Austin, Texas. As a Senior Accountant, you will be tasked with performing a variety of accounting duties, including the monthly, quarterly, and yearly close processes. This role is within the industry, and you will work closely with various departments to review, analyze, and implement standards that directly affect the expense reporting system.
Responsibilities:
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing procedures, including the preparation of journal entries.
Analyze and review expenses at a cost center level to understand key trends and ensure accuracy.
Actively participate in all aspects of internal and external audit activities.
Perform detailed analysis and assist in enhancing analytical processes and controls.
Engage in various department-wide initiatives.
Collaborate with different teams within the organization to review, analyze, and implement standards affecting the expense reporting system.
Ensure all balance sheet accounts are properly calculated, supported, and reconciled.
Undertake other accounting duties as assigned, including participation in ad hoc projects.
Requirements
Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in an accounting role
Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required
Must have experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations is necessary
Expertise in maintaining and managing General Ledger is essential
Must have experience in creating and adjusting Journal Entries
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
Must have experience with Month End Close procedures
