Schedule: 2 - 2 - 3 (12 hr shifts)
Shift: 1st (6 am - 6 pm)

The Maintenance Electrical Technician role entails performing
troubleshooting and repair tasks, as well as providing technical
support across all operational phases. It is a technical career role
that demands proficiency in various skill clusters, including:
Electrical Controls: Understanding and proficiency in managing
electrical control systems within the operational environment.
Fluid Power: Knowledge and expertise in dealing with hydraulic
and pneumatic systems, which are crucial components in many
manufacturing processes.
Mechanical Systems: A comprehensive understanding of mechanical
systems involved in the operation, including machinery and
equipment.
Manufacturing Processes: Familiarity with the manufacturing
processes specific to Tyson Foods, Inc., and the ability to
troubleshoot issues within these processes.
Additionally, the role necessitates the ability to work effectively
within a team, collaborating with colleagues to solve problems and
enhance operations. Strong communication skills are essential for
interacting with individuals at all levels of management and operations.
This includes conveying technical information effectively and
contributing to productive discussions aimed at improving processes and
resolving issues. Overall, the position requires a combination of
technical expertise, teamwork, and effective communication skills to
support the smooth operation of Tyson Foods, Inc.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience: Training beyond high school OR a
combination of education and experience which may include skilled
trade programs, military training or other training as applicable.
Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate both verbally
and written; high level critical thinking, and problem-solving
skills.
Computer Skills: Competent in Windows based software; strong
skills in document organization and using document templates and
creating simple queries. Must be proficient or become proficient in
SAP Plant Maintenance.
Special Skills:
Good safety and attendance record, along with strong interpersonal
skills
Demonstrated skills in the area of AC/DC circuits, industrial
electrical systems.
Experience in electrical safety and lock out tag out processes and
procedures.
Knowledge in the theory and application of electronic devices such
as industrial semi-conductors, solid state drives,and industrial
control systems
Working knowledge and skills in tools and components used in
maintenance and repair of mechanical systems such as bearings,
gears, clutches belts, and seals.
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic
components and systems.
Preferred Skills:
Basic Microcomputer skills necessary to understand the operation and
interfacing characteristics of microprocessors.
Experience in PLC operation to include basic system configuration
and hardware, relay equivalent instructions, timers/counters, data
manipulation, data communications and advanced programming commands,
as well as interfacing, troubleshooting and application and program
development.
Demonstrated skills or training in electronic motor drive
technologies including servo- motors, encoders, tachometers,
electronic and mechanical brakes and clutches, closed loop systems,
DC servo, AC variable frequency, AC servo and stepper systems.
