The Office of Revenue Management and Development (ORMD)/The Bureau of Case Integrity & Eligibility Verification's (BCIEV) mission is to identify system enhancements to improve claiming and to avoid overpayments, as well as working with program areas to prevent potential errors by reviewing records of Cash Assistance and Medical Insurance and Community Services Administration (MICSA) cases and analyzing their contents for material that might retroactively identify Federal and State obligations that had not previously been recognized.
Bureau of Case Integrity and Eligibility Verification (BCIEV) is recruiting one (1) Principal Administrative Associate II to function as an Eligibility Verification Specialist in its Eligibility Verification Division, who will:
Work on various Medical Assistance Program (MAP) projects including reviewing and analyzing MAP duplicate Client Identification Numbers (CINs) for potential recovery of duplicate payments to New York State.
Initiate corrective actions for invalid MAP Social Security Numbers to minimize risk of audit disallowances; evaluate Information Technology Services (ITS) computer printouts relating to MAP reimbursement claims as well as be assigned to special assignments on MAP as necessary.
Perform quality assurance and Welfare management System (WMS) look-ups for MAP cases identified through Enterprise Warehouse (EDW) and Electronic Medicaid of New York (E-MEDNY) queries.
Work on various MAP projects.
Conduct surveys and special assignments on MAP related issues.

Hours/Schedule: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Qualifications
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or
An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described in "1" above; or
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described in "1" above;
Education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above. However, all candidates must possess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described in "1" above. Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but not for the one year of administrative or supervisory experience described in "1" above) at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3½ years.

Salary Max: $ 75,971.00
