We are seeking a motivated Junior Tenable Security Console Administrator to assist in managing and maintaining our vulnerability management infrastructure. The ideal candidate will support the deployment, configuration, and operation of Tenable Security Center (formerly Tenable.sc) and related tools to enhance our organization's cybersecurity posture. This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity for growth in vulnerability management and security operations.
Responsibilities
Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Tenable Security Center and Nessus scanners.
Monitor security console dashboards, analyze scan results, and generate vulnerability reports.
Work with IT and security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure system compliance.
Maintain and update scanning policies, schedules, and configurations.
Provide support in troubleshooting scan failures and performance issues.
Assist in managing user access, roles, and permissions within the Tenable Security Center.
Stay updated on the latest vulnerabilities, security patches, and best practices.
Document procedures, configurations, and security findings for internal reporting.
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA Security+, Tenable Certified Administrator, or other cybersecurity-related certifications.
Technical Skills:
Basic understanding of network security, vulnerability management, and risk assessment.
Familiarity with Tenable Security Center, Nessus, and vulnerability scanning tools.
Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and network protocols.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and willingness to learn.
0-2 years of experience in IT security, vulnerability management, or a related field.
