Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in San Fernando, California, United States. This role involves a wide range of administrative tasks within a school setting, requiring proficiency in both English and Spanish. The position entails effective management of communications and clerical duties, ensuring smooth operations and enhanced customer service.
Responsibilities:
Efficient handling of inbound and outbound calls, as well as email correspondence, ensuring effective communication within the school community.
Accurate and timely data entry, maintaining records and databases for streamlined school operations.
Assisting in the management of the school calendar and scheduling appointments as needed.
Providing interpretation and translation services for non-English speaking students, staff, and parents, facilitating inclusive and effective communication.
Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to organize school activities, ensuring successful and well-coordinated events.
Drafting and distributing important school announcements, keeping all stakeholders informed and engaged.
Preparing reports and documentation as required by school administration and government education bodies, ensuring compliance and transparency.
Managing student records and processing Picture IDs, ensuring accurate record-keeping and student identification.
Providing high-quality customer service, professionally interacting with students, parents, and school staff, and promptly addressing queries.
Utilizing proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, to efficiently perform administrative tasks. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year experience in an administrative role
Proficiency in answering inbound calls and managing inbound/outbound calls
Strong customer service skills and ability to handle customer queries effectively
Experience in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage email correspondence professionally and promptly
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience in scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
