About the Opportunity:**
We\'re seeking a skilled Manufacturing Test Engineer to join our
team! In this role, you\'ll design and develop tests for electronic
PCBs and assemblies, applying electrical engineering principles and
testing methodologies. You\'ll create test fixtures and software,
evaluate product design for testability, and implement test
strategies into new designs.
This is a hybrid position based out of Franklin Park, IL - typically
M/F remote and T-Th are in-office collaboration days #LI-Hybrid
What you would be responsible for as a Manufacturing Test Engineer
with Life Fitness / Hammer Strength:
Evaluate schematics, design and develop hardware and software to
emulate and test electronic printed circuit boards and electronic
systems.
Develop test software to assure product is manufactured as designed
and meets test specifications as well as industry standards.
Design, develop, and debug electronic and mechanical interfaces and
fixtures for product being tested.
Reduce test time and drive production yield improvement by
identifying and resolving inefficiencies in existing test processes.
Develops and implements new testing methods and technologies.
Attend and participate in product development meetings to ensure
product testability.
Work with the technical team to develop sufficient and
cost-effective test equipment. Hold test systems specification and
design reviews.
Analyze test data using excel tools and process capability
statistics (Gage R&R, Cp, and CpK analysis).
Maintain records, provide data, and support problem resolution.
Minimal travel required to support test systems deployed to
manufacturing locations.
What are we looking for in our Manufacturing Test Engineer (required
qualifications):
5+ years of experience designing manufacturing test equipment
hardware and test software for electronic PCBs and electronic
systems.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or Electrical
Engineering Technology, or similar.
Experience developing manufacturing test programs using NI
TestStand, C# .NET or an equivalent object-oriented programming
language. Experience with NI LabVIEW is preferred, but not required.
Schematic capture experience using Altium or equivalent is
preferred, but not required.
Experience selecting test equipment to meet manufacturing test
requirements
Designs functional test software applications using Windows OS.
(Linux and Android OS a plus)
Working knowledge of communication protocols such as USB, RS-232,
TTL, RS-485, I2C, SPI, JTAG, and IEEE-488(GPIB).
Working knowledge of fitness equipment resistance control and motor
control theory is a plus.
Familiarity with AC power and wiring (domestically and
internationally).
Excellent verbal, writing and organizational skills.

intended for U.S. applicants, is \$78,800 - \$114,200 annually.The
actual salary will vary based on applicant\'s education, experience,
skills, and abilities. The salary range reflected is based on a primary
work location of Franklin Park, IL and the actual salary may vary for
applicants in a different geographic location.This position is eligible
to participate in Life Fitness / Hammer Strength\'s annual Manager
Incentive Plan to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to
base salary. The amount of bonus varies based on company and individual
performance goals and is subject to the terms and conditions of the
applicable incentive plan.
