The Opportunity:
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for Electrical Assembly. This position is responsible for the assembly of complex fuel control units.
Additionally, Electrical Assembly will:
Fabricate electrical and/or mechanical assemblies
Follow manufacturing planning for instructions and inspection requirements.
Perform wire cutting, stripping, dressing ends and other simple cable operations
Solder wires and other electronic components
Perform assembly operations or inspection under microscope or other magnifying device as required
Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, arbor pressing
Assemble bearings, pistons, O-rings, seals, springs etc. into machined housings
Verify dimensions and or performance using standard measuring instruments
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and understand manufacturing planning instructions
1-2 years of experience in electrical soldering and wire crimping
3-5 years of electrical and mechanical assemblies
1-2 years in using precision tools, fixture and measuring equipment
Ability to read and assemble parts from manufacturing planning instructions
Ability to perform detailed work requiring fine motor skills
Capable of lifting 50 pounds from floor to height of 25 inches, capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, have a grip strength of at least 50 pounds and be able to reach above shoulder 65 inches above floor level (minimum).
Responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company's Quality Policy
U.S. Citizenship required
Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
