ABOUT THE ROLE
MYR Group and our subsidiary businesses strive to provide an opportunity for
students to gain education in the electrical utility construction industry by
providing a hands-on and inclusive internship program. The knowledge and
experience gained through this program will help prepare you for your future
career.
Intern must be located in Colorado and in commutable distance to listed office
for the duration of this internship. Relocation and lodging support are not
provided.

Since 1912, Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc., a subsidiary of MYR
Group, Inc, has provided comprehensive electrical construction services to
clients throughout the western U.S. Sturgeon Electric has two divisions,
offering both power line construction and commercial/industrial electrical
construction, making it a full service electrical provider.
Sturgeon Electric's Commercial and Industrial (C&I)electrical
construction division specializes in large-scale commercial electrical
projects, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution,
high voltage distribution service and maintenance to clients. Sturgeon
Electric has experience performing projects under Integrated Lean Project
Delivery methods, and also offers pre-construction services, in-house
pre-fabrication capabilities, and Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Essential Functions
Conducting site visits and performing field observations.
Assisting with material procurement and logistics.
Preparing construction documentation and reports.
Participating in project meetings and presentations.
Learning about construction safety practices and procedures.
Observing and learning from experienced professionals.
Contributing to the development of innovative solutions.
Participation in the Lunch & Learn internship program provided by the MYR
Group Internship Leadership team.
Prior to the end of their internship, the intern will create and present a
self-reflection project detailing their gained industry knowledge, future
career goals, as well as personal and professional growth. The presentation
will be provided in PowerPoint and presented to their direct management team.
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
College sophomore or above working towards a related undergraduate degree or
be currently enrolled in or attending trade school. If you are a recent
graduate, you must be within 1 year of your graduation date.
No experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prepare and give presentations.
Organized and detail oriented.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a
professional and courteous manner.
