POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team in New York (preferred) or Raleigh, NC.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for all accounting functions, but not limited to accounts payable & vendor management, budgets, audits as well as some work creating and or completing financial reporting/analysis and modeling. The staff accountant is responsible for managing multiple projects and can work across divisions. This position works closely with the Department Leaders and the Finance team.
This role will report to the Sr. Staff Accountant but work collaboratively with Director of Finance. This position requires in-office presence at least 4 days per week, with 1 flexible remote day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger
- Drive month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing and posting journal entries
- Performs monthly BS reconciliations
- Performs analysis of general ledger accounts to ensure reasonableness and accuracy
- Responsible for credit card and expense report reconciliations
- Support internal and external audit of financial processes and statements
- Working with outsourcing partner (WNS) to ensure timely and accurate processing for O2C, P2P and R2R
- Monitor and oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, reporting packs, and other various reporting requirements, conducting regular reviews and audits to ensure accuracy
- Ability to oversee and manage projects, while ensuring financials are kept in line
- Work closely with Department Leaders and the Controller on monthly and annual financial report generation and reconciliation
- Work closely with Department Head with the development, preparation, and implementation of annual budget
- Perform other fiduciary responsibilities/duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Broad knowledge of accounting systems
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Knowledge of general financial reporting systems (Prior experience with SAP and/or NetSuite desirable)
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to manage work autonomously as well as highly collaborative environment with little or no direction
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong attention to detail

EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting - preferred
- Equitable professional experience
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
- 2 – 3 years of progressive accounting experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Extended hours and weekend work may be required based on business needs

Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. Hiring Range Minimum :
$60,406 annually
Hiring Range Maximum:
$75,000 annually
