We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our growing team.
About the Role:
Chargeback Analyst/Manager in apparel operations is responsible for managing chargebacks, deductions, and disputes related to retailer compliance, pricing discrepancies, and shipping issues. Their role is crucial in ensuring that the company recovers lost revenue and prevents future chargebacks by analyzing trends and improving processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chargeback Management: Investigate, validate, and dispute chargebacks from retailers and distributors.
- Data Analysis: Analyze chargeback trends and identify root causes to reduce future deductions.
- Retailer Compliance: Ensure compliance with vendor guidelines and resolve non-compliance issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with sales, logistics, finance, and customer service to address chargeback-related issues.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of chargebacks and create reports for management to track financial impact.
- Process Improvement: Develop strategies to minimize chargebacks through operational enhancements and compliance adjustments.
Key Skills:
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to review large datasets and spot patterns in chargebacks.
- Problem-Solving: Investigate root causes and work on corrective actions. Developing plans for avoidance.
- Retail Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of major retailers' compliance requirements, shortages, invoicing, late shipments, etc.
- Financial Acumen: Experience with deductions, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Communication Skills: Ability to negotiate and dispute chargebacks effectively.
- ERP & Chargeback Systems: Proficiency in systems like SAP, Oracle, or specialized chargeback management software. Blue Cherry a Plus!
