Position Summary:
We are seeking to hire an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Team. This role will partner directly with the Controller to ensure the smooth running of the finance and accounting department. The general responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
· Support the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury and general ledger
· Prepare month-end and year-end closing activities include preparing journal entries and supporting schedules, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely completion of close
· Conduct detailed account reconciliations, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all general ledger accounts
· Assist in the preparation and coordination of audits by providing necessary financial information and responding to auditor inquiries
· Assist with annual 1099 tax filing
· Work on ad-hoc special projects related to accounting and financial reporting
· Implement, maintain and support accounting processes, systems, and internal controls
· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency of existing processes and proposing new business initiatives
Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
- BA/BS degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years of experience in general accounting, month-end close, reconciliation, and financial statement preparation
- Excellent attention to detail and strong, collaborative analytical and problem-solving abilities and to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, NetSuite)
