The Mechanical Technician maintains production by ensuring operation of
machinery and mechanical equipment. Must have the ability to diagnose
trouble in systems and equipment and carry out preventive maintenance
programs. A minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing or industrial setting
is required. Must have own tools. A boiler\'s license or ability to
obtain one is required, Tex Tech will pay for the process and once
completed will receive a pay increase. Must have the ability to work
independently, possess strong mechanical knowledge as well as light
plumbing, electrical and HAVAC knowledge. Must be able to lift 50
pounds, climb ladders and work in tight spaces. Experience in computers
is a plus.
