General Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related field. Three years of administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. Experience in Higher Education is desirable. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Performs complex administrative program work, to include budgetary, purchasing, and financial analysis and reporting for the Office of Professional Golf Association of America ( PGA ) / Professional Golf Management ( PGM ) Program.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Oversees purchasing, monitors budgets, accounts, and expenditures for both the Office of Professional Golf Association of America ( PGA ) / Professional Golf Management ( PGM ) Program. and The Bearkat Course. Collects, reconciles, and maintains complex data to prepare financial and statistical reports for the program and extensive reports for PGA of America. Coordinates and supervises program processes and activities while monitoring timelines and identifying issues, including dinners, events, tournaments, and other functions. Creates and promotes material for student recruitment as well as marketing materials for The Bearkat Course to include six social media accounts, which are maintained 24 hours per day. Implements and coordinates departmental processes while also serving as liaison and maintaining contacts with departments, students, staff, and alumni. Designs and prepares reports and publications for distribution at all university levels and the public. Maintains records and supports accreditation efforts. Provides support to the Director and Internship Coordinator to include serving as a resource for PGM students. Develops and recommends program policies and procedures, clerical functions, and workflow to ensure effective and efficient operation. Prepares, reviews, revises, and distributes documents and correspondence. Orders and maintains supply inventory. Performs other related duties as assigned.
