Description
We are offering a long-term contract opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Seattle, Washington. This role involves working in the finance industry, with a focus on maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end close processes.
Responsibilities:
Managing the General Ledger
Assisting with financial catch-up for specific months
Performing bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting
Preparing basic journal entries, including prepaid entries and tracking by fund and entity codes
Handling revenue from private donations matched by state funds
Managing a low volume of invoices to vendors on a daily basis
Utilizing financial software such as NetSuite and Oracle
Processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Supporting fiscal year-end activities after June 30th.
Requirements
Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
Expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations
Profound knowledge of General Ledger maintenance
Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries
Experience with Month End Close procedures
Familiarity with NetSuite software for accounting purposes
