My client, a reputable healthcare company in Norfolk, VA, is hiring for an Administrative Assistant!
Job Description:
This person will be the administrative assistant in charge of documenting and tracking the specimens taken in the lab and make sure they are labeled properly.
This person is making sure that lab orders get packaged appropriately and go to the right place, whether it's for, this study and then also have some mechanism to ensure that it gets back and be able to follow up if in fact, it's not back in the timeline that was expected.
They are entering this information into a specific pathology software as well as EMR which is within Power Chart and Eclipses
Volume: there are enough samples to stay busy for 8 hours, high volume, very busy area. They are receiving specimens from other institutions as well
Administrative tasks - Filing, scanning, reports, updating medical charts
Qualifications to Apply:
Strong organizational expertise (admin, secretary, reception)
Preferred: pathology or lab experience
Unit secretary within a hospital setting
Surgical practice or surgical area of a hospital (familiar with an OR)

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
