Job Title: Electrical Designer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing lighting, power systems, and fire alarms for DOD/GOV and Healthcare projects. You will also prepare electrical drawings and specifications, review submittals, and conduct field surveys to verify existing electrical installations.
Responsibilities
Design lighting, power systems, and fire alarms for DOD/GOV and Healthcare projects.
Prepare electrical drawings and specifications.
Review submittals.
Conduct field surveys to verify existing electrical installations.
Develop single-line diagrams and floor plans from field surveys.
Essential Skills
Proficient in electrical design using AutoCAD.
Experience in creating construction documents.
Experience in MEP design.
Knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
4+ years of electrical design experience.
Experience with Revit is a plus.
Experience with any MEP project experience.
EIT or PE license is desirable.
Work Environment
We are a small MEP firm located in Norfolk, VA. Our team primarily works in the office but also offers hybrid workdays. The day-to-day activities include designing in AutoCAD, conducting site visits, and interacting with architects and other team members. Our office space has been newly renovated to provide a comfortable and productive work environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
