Your Specific Responsibilities:
Supervisory employees are those who spend the majority of their time communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, and planning and directing employees' work, and who have the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such action, including all employees serving as supervisors, administrators, and directors, in accordance with Section 110.205(2)(w), Florida Statutes.
The role of this position is to serve as the front-line supervisor of staff, providing administrative assistance to contact center managers with operation of the State of Florida Re-employment Assistance (RA) program contact center functions.
ADMINISTRATIVE: Ensures adherence to regulations, processes, and operating procedures of the Reemployment Assistance Program (RAP). Ensures staff assist claimants in maintaining RA claims including benefit payment requests, fact-finding, and answering questions. Monitors the staff's daily assignments. Reviews agent's decisions regarding claimant's concerns and verifies that appropriate actions were taken regarding RA determinations and/or issues. Intervenes as necessary on issues that impact the claimant's ability to access claim information housed in the Re-employment Assistance System (RAS). Reviews investigation results regarding the RA Appeal Process and takes corrective action as needed. Reviews decisions regarding adjudication issues and determinations and forwards for corrective action as needed. Distributes and ensures daily assignments and work schedules developed by the Workforce Management Team are followed as well as maintaining timesheet compliance and accuracy. Responsible for authorization of leave and attendance records. Prepares position descriptions, performance appraisals, and procedural changes due to modifications in the work of the unit, the reemployment assistance law and department rules. Assist in conducting interviews.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong organization, time management, and multi-tasking skill with a strong knowledge and understanding of program requirements and compliance restraints.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of management and supervision.
Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.
Knowledge of reemployment assistance law, rules, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of basic public relations principles.
Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office with strong knowledge in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to manage a re-employment assistance program.
Ability to supervise people.
Ability to determine work priorities, assign work, and ensure proper completion of work assignments.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, policies, and procedures relating to management of a re-employment assistance program.
Ability to collect and analyze data relating to the management of a re-employment assistance program.
Ability to deal with the public in a courteous, tactful, and effective manner.
Ability to prepare reports relating to a re-employment assistance program.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
Ability to develop training materials and train others.
Qualifications:
As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.
Minimum:
Duties and responsibilities of this position must be performed at the official work site of the Department.
Travel may be required.
Preferred :
At least 1 year of Supervisory or Leadership experience.
At least 2 years of Reemployment Assistance or Workforce Program Experience.

The Work You Will Do:
TheBenefits Program Supervisor/Analyst - SESis a member of the Reemployment Assistance Customer Support Center team of the Division of Workforce Services located in Tallahassee, Florida.
The person in this leadership position administers complex technical Reemployment Assistance program functions. The person in this position will be responsible for providing instructions to staff and taking necessary actions to assist in performing job duties. The performance of these functions and their coordination is required for consistency and efficiency of operations. This is professional work requiring not only extensive knowledge of the Reemployment Assistance law, rules, policies, and procedures, but also the ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments and work cooperatively with others.
The person in this position will work independently and be responsible for identifying and analyzing complex problems; developing, recommending, and implementing solutions to resolve problems; providing instructions; and taking necessary actions in resolving problems; advising management of problems and/or policy concerns related to program and operational functions.
