About the Role:
An AR Chargeback Manager plays a key role in a company's accounts receivable (AR) and finance departments. Their primary responsibility is to manage, investigate, and resolve chargebacks and deductions claimed by customers, ensuring that any discrepancies in payments or invoices are addressed accurately. Chargebacks occur when a customer disputes a charge or deducts an amount from their payment due to various reasons, such as incorrect invoicing, damaged goods, missing products, or pricing discrepancies.
Responsibilities:
- Apply payments to customer accounts, research, analyze, and resolve payment discrepancies and compliance offsets assessed by major retailers
- Research and dispute customer chargebacks
- Pro-actively research vendor compliance requirements.
- Communicate internally as well as directly with customers to resolve all open claims
- Manage and perform the returns and credit process to ensure all returns are entered correctly and that the credits have been properly taken
- Work with the warehouse to ensure compliance of chargeback related issues as well as the returns process
- Act as a point of contact with assigned accounts for all compliance issues
- Process reconciliation, cash application, chargebacks and write-offs
- Research misapplied cash and unidentified payments by contacting customers
- Perform other AR tasks such as posting cash, responding to collector and customer inquiries and preparing account analyses
Requirements:
- Previous experience interacting with department stores and factors
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Good communication, organization and analytical skills
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities and workload
- Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Strong computer skills – Blue Cherry Infinity a plus
- Strong problem solving and customer service skills

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
