Intermediate Electrical Designer
Englewood / Denver, CO
Purpose of the Role:
As an Intermediate Electrical Designer, you will provide electrical
engineering design services to Worley and its clients, ensuring compliance
with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory codes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed working drawings for above grade and underground power and
control layouts, adhering to company, client, and industry standards.
Create material take-offs, maintain drawing lists, and assist with
document revision control, including filing of record prints and design
documen
Work from equipment specifications, engineering notes, sketches, and
detailed drawings to produce accurate designs.
Gather and incorporate data from multiple sources, including design
calculations and analysis, into electrical system designs (e.g.,
lighting, distribution transformers, control panels, raceway systems,
fire detection/alarm systems, electrical heat tracing, fire stop
barriers, etc.
Conduct site surveys, interpret regulatory codes and client standards, and
apply standard engineering and design practices.
Design complete electrical systems, including substation layouts and related
facilities, ensuring adherence to safety factors, tolerances, and
specifications.
Qualifications & Experience:
Technical Skills & Industry Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of design experience in an engineering design
office, preferably within the oil & gas, power, or industrial sectors.
Proficiency in MicroStation V8, AutoCAD (2D & 3D), and modeling
software such as PDS or SmartPlant.
Strong competency in database management and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with relevant industry codes and analytical techniques, with the
ability to apply them to unique design conditions.
Experience working on medium-sized and complex projects.
Ability to collaborate within multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
Education & Certifications:
Associate Diploma in Engineering Design or equivalent qualification.
Additional Information:
This position will be based in the Englewood/Denver, CO area.
Pay Range: $36.40/hr - $53.53/hr (commensurate with experience).
