Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant/Data Analyst with multi-client experience to manage financial transactions, analyze financial data, and provide key insights to drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and data analysis to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy for our clients.
This role requires an analytical mindset, proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel, and the ability to work across multiple clients. If you thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment and love turning numbers into insights, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
- Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions for multiple clients
- Manage A/P and A/R processes, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and reports
- Work alongside the Financial Controller to manage Bill.com and other financial platforms
- Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain accurate general ledger records
- Handle vendor statements, payments, and inquiries
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct financial data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Develop and present customized financial reports and dashboards
- Support decision-making by providing key insights from financial and operational data
- Utilize Excel, Google Sheets, and analytics tools for advanced data modeling
- Assist in ad-hoc reconciliations and variance analysis
Experience & Skills
- Advanced Experience w/ Quickbooks Online & Microsoft Excel
- 5+ years remote work experience
- 5+ Multi Client Accounting Experience
- Comfortable working with and creating financial data models, reporting tools, and dashboards
- Tech savvy – experienced in using technology applications that integrate into QuickBooks, capable of learning and mastering new applications quickly and easily.
- Understanding of all aspects of a payment transaction, from payment acceptance, reconciliation, dispute resolution, and payouts
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to thrive under minimal guidance
- Detail oriented and able to effectively organize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Excellent analytical and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Consistently and accurately follow established policies and procedures.
- Work independently to complete assignments while knowing when to escalate issues and ask questions.
- Willingness to take on new and unfamiliar tasks.
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, Excel, Bill.com, Expensify, Gusto, ADP & Google Platforms
- Team player with a can do attitude a must!
