Electrical Substation Engineer
Job Description:
Responsible for providing project oversight and communication with clients on that specific project.
Perform and direct others in the detailed design of medium to extra high voltage utility substations.
Grow and manage relationships with local clients.
Mentor less experienced staff in substation project execution.
Perform and direct others in the detailed design of medium to extra high voltage utility substations including one-line diagrams, three line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, elementary and wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, substation physical layouts, selection of substation equipment, writing of substation equipment specifications, proposal development, construction cost estimates, and project scheduling.
Ensure quality procedures are followed and that the team is resourced in an optimal manner.
Perform QA/QC for deliverables to clients across multiple offices.
Manage all schedule, budget, and quality of assigned projects.
Skills Needed:
You should have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
Understanding project budgets and working well in teams is essential.
Experience in the Power & Utilities industry.
4-7+ years of experience in substation engineering and P&C (Protection & Control) or Physical systems.
Familiarity with equipment like MCC (Motor Control Centers) an

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
