Job Title: Electrical Designer
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Electrical Detailer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing electrical schematics, bill of materials, and layouts to support the procurement and installation of electrical control systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical design principles, codes, and standards, along with proficiency in relevant software tools.
Responsibilities
Review detailed electrical schematics, bill of materials, and layouts based on project specifications and design standards.
Collaborate with controls engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and ensure accuracy in design documentation.
Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) to create and modify electrical designs.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations.
Perform quality checks on drawings and documentation to maintain high standards of accuracy.
Assist in the preparation of project estimates and material lists.
Find replacements for long lead time or obsolete parts.
Essential Skills
3+ years' experience with Electrical Drafting
Experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical
Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, UL)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in creating and modifying electrical designs using AutoCAD Electrical
Strong understanding of electrical design principles
Familiarity with electrical schematics, bill of materials, and layouts
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
