The Safety Administrator is responsible for continuously monitoring and discussing safety procedures and operations to ensure a safe and fully compliant work environment for all employees.
Responsibilities
Monitor and report on the compliance of daily departmental safety inspections within their assigned warehouse.
Analyze and report on buildings found to be out of compliance using Google Forms.
Provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations, and procedures.
Work with all market staff to complete monthly training requirements.
Ensure all safety-related trainings are updated and linked within the training matrix.
Serve as the primary contact for accident and incident notification, investigation, and case management.
Enter all accidents and injuries into Incident Tracker.
Ensure ADP training videos are assigned to employees and supervisors and track and enter completion dates.
Help analyze incident reports, metrics, and injury case studies to institute changes for a safer environment.
Use Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to determine additional policies and procedures required to improve safety and wellness in all locations.
Maintain accurate and current records in accordance with guidelines, including OSHA Logs and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets).
Assist with preparation and leadership of monthly Safety Committee meetings.
Provide guidance, data, and feedback to Distribution Managers to build Safety Scorecards.
Collaborate on Emergency Action Plan and serve as a main contact for evacuation procedures.
Perform monthly emergency evacuation drills and serve as a main point of contact during emergency events.
Distribute monthly safety training topics and ensure more than 90% completion from market staff.
Work with other market Safety Coordinators to discuss and implement best practices.
Responsible for maintaining Safety folders in Google Drive for respective markets.
Essential Skills
2+ years of administrative experience
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance
Experience in safety reporting and training
Proficiency in using Google Forms and Incident Tracker
Ability to analyze safety data and implement improvements
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with market staff and safety coordinators
Experience in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and logs
Work Environment
The role operates Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. The position may involve some flexibility. The company has recently moved to Blauvelt and is growing quickly, offering opportunities for career growth.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
