Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Prevailing Wage Project Accountant in the construction industry, based in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. The role involves providing prevailing wage reporting support to multiple teams overseeing the completion of a construction project. The individual will serve as a key liaison between the Finance department and the project teams.
Responsibilities: - Reviewing the construction contract requirements for assigned projects and attending project kickoff meetings to ensure requirements alignment with the project team. - Undertaking weekly reporting as per the contract requirements and logging any payment shortfalls as per the contract terms. - Supporting contractually required monitoring by third parties as required by the contract and auditing the setup of the LCP Tracker. - Reviewing project settings and wage determination data for accuracy. - Processing weekly payroll reports in LCP Tracker, including loading payroll information, reviewing data for accuracy and completeness, and resolving any payment issues with project teams and payroll. - Reviewing apprentice data to ensure accurate payment and classification, and elevating awareness of financial implications. - Generating reporting out of LCP Tracker to support customer billing requirements, including Weekly Payroll Reports and Weekly Apprentice Reports. - Performing other duties as assigned, including answering general questions on prevailing wage or LCP Tracker, representing the company's best interests in working with project auditors, assisting with annual and special audits as necessary, reviewing team member setups as needed, and reviewing timecard reports prior to processing. Requirements - Proficient in Accounting Software Systems - Experience with ADP - Financial Services - Knowledge of Costpoint software - Familiarity with Deltek and Deltek Vision - Proficiency in using About Time software - Complete understanding of Accounting Functions - Proven skills in Auditing - Knowledge of Prevailing Wage regulations and calculations in construction industry
