Description
Robert Half Contract and Finance Accounting team is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper for a temporary/contract role. In this position, you will focus on managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the organization's financial operations.
This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision
Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
Prepare and post journal entries to support the general ledger
Assist with month-end close procedures and financial reporting
Serve as the initial point of contact for visitors and inquiries in a detail-oriented manner
Maintain detailed and organized financial documentation for auditing purposes
Analyze account discrepancies and resolve issues effectively
Collaborate with team members on fiscal year-end processes and reporting tasks
Provide support for various accounting functions as needed

Requirements - Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
Experience with bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
Strong understanding of general ledger operations and maintenance.
Ability to prepare and post journal entries with precision and attention to detail.
Expertise in performing month-end close procedures and generating financial reports.
Familiarity with accounting software and tools commonly used in non-profit organizations.
Knowledge of compliance requirements and regulations specific to the non-profit sector.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
