Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description
This position involves the assembly and review of electrical drawings, adherence to design specifications, and compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining electrical design practices, providing field support, and maintaining documentation of engineering schematics and equipment operations. Additionally, you will assist project managers and estimators as needed.
Responsibilities
Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling electronic drawings.
Assemble electrical drawings including power, lighting, one line, site photometrics, emergency calculations, lighting controls, and life safety.
Review electrical engineering plans to ensure adherence to design specifications and compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards.
Create and maintain electrical design practices throughout the process.
Maintain system logs or manuals to document testing or operation of equipment.
Create design specifications and material specifications.
Review and approve submittals associated with designs.
Provide field support for installation details or engineering clarifications.
Compile and maintain records documenting engineering schematics, installed equipment, installation or operational problems, resources used, repairs, or corrective action performed.
Participate in training or continuing education activities to stay abreast of engineering or industry advances.
Visit customers, construction sites, and end user facilities as needed.
Apply and adhere to NEC requirements.
Assist Project Managers and Estimators in projects as needed.
Work in office environment with team members.

Work Environment
The work environment will vary, with the majority of the time spent on-site at customer locations. Customers can vary, but most work environments are clean, updated shops or offices. You will work closely with team members in an office setting as well.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $55.29/hr.
