Under the supervision of a physician, Practice Manager, Nurse and/or Director of Nursing, the Clinical Co-OP is responsible for assisting the healthcare team with the care and management of patients during their visit. The Clinical Co-OP will perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to maintain and support the office and to assure efficient patient flow through the office. The Clinical Co-OP MA will also assist the physician or other clinical staff with procedures, treatments, specimen collection and communication to patients.
Currently enrolled in an approved Medical Assistant certification program. One to two years of successful experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical practice setting preferred. Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers completion. Meditech, IDX and AllScripts experience preferred. May not hold a valid nursing license.
