Electrical Technician - R8714
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
Work with production personnel to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues
Work in conjunction with outside contractors and/or vendors as well as OEM's to troubleshoot and make repairs to plant equipment
Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
Wire and install AC/DC motors, drives, racks and motion control equipment
Perform electrical trouble shooting using the proper tools and PPE
Control downtime by performing routine preventive maintenance techniques
Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
Use computer system to document work and account for parts
Communicate with the team using verbal, written or electronic communication including phone, email, radio, or other
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
P articipate on Emergency Response Team (required)
Perform other duties as assigned by management /supervisors . S et up and operate all shop equipment
Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective and safety equipment and devices that are required , and comply with company safety policies and procedures
I dentify and eliminate work hazards
Know proper lock-out/tag out minor servicing procedures
Conduct safe and proper clean up procedures
Perform other duties as assigned by management /supervisors
