Employment Benefits Specialist

About the role:
WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for an Employment Benefits Specialist. You will be responsible for the administration of WEG-s Employee Benefit Programs, including 401k, workers compensation, disability, and rewards/recognition programs. This position ensures seamless benefits processes, handling employee inquires and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in benefits administration, compliance and systems management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Employee Benefits / 401k / Workers Compensation / Leave Management program administration
Ensures program audits and Plan compliance reporting timelines are met.
Addresses benefit inquiries to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
Provides information to 3rd party administrators and HR Business Partners.
Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences / disabilities.
Partners with Benefits representatives of other US entities.
Manages the annual employee benefits open enrollment process.
Conducts the employee benefits session of new hire orientation.
Administers and reports workers compensation claims. Works with 3rd party administrators.
Participates in program harmonization projects, for US entities and company acquisitions.
Coordinates employee reward programs and company events.
Develops employee benefit communications.
Ensures all vendor invoices are reconciled and paid in a timely manner.
Audits and ensures data accuracy and consistency and in compliance with US employment laws
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent years of experience.
Knowledge / training:
Knowledge of employee benefits and 401k plan design and compliance.
Advanced knowledge of HR systems.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office skills (VLOOKUP & Pivot tables in Excel).
Experience:
3-5 years relevant experience
Experience working with employee benefit, 401k, workers compensation and rewards programs
Experience managing the processes within the HRIS Benefits Module
