As the Mine Reclamation and Land Specialist, you will be responsible for land reclamation efforts by operating revegetation equipment, inspecting properties, and monitoring projects for AECI Land LLC and AECI. This role helps maintain buildings and agricultural land, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes teamwork contributing to the effective management and preservation of AECI-owned properties.
What you'll do:
Operate and Maintain Equipment: Operate and maintain revegetation and mobile equipment (e.g., mowers, tractors, backhoes); assist with facility and agricultural land upkeep.
Support Projects and Compliance: Assist monitor projects, conduct inspections, and support compliance with Missouri DNR Land Reclamation requirements.
Training and Field Work: Participate in training and certification programs; perform outdoor tasks under supervision in various conditions.
Teamwork and Communication: Build communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills; assist with equipment diagnostics and safe operations.
What you'll need:
Equipment Skills: Ability to safely operate and maintain stationary and mobile equipment; strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills; able to lift up to 40 lbs., climb ladders, and work in various environments.
Agriculture Experience: Background in agriculture or equivalent education.
Program Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with FSA and/or USDA programs is a plus.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and decision-making abilities.
Work Environment Flexibility: Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions, adapt to industrial and shop settings, and occasionally work outside regular hours including on public/private roads and mining properties.
