Job Description
The Human Resources Administrative Assistant is a vital role within the Human Resources Department, responsible for providing functional support for day-to-day operations at the Visalia Facility and Payroll Department. This position will lead individual projects and collaborate with the HR team on various activities.
Responsibilities
Manage the offer, pre-employment (including background checks, drug tests, and physicals), and new hire onboarding process for all hourly positions at the facility.
Ensure data accuracy in HRIS for employees, including processing status changes, submitting time and attendance corrections, and entering personal time into the system.
Oversee the No Fault Attendance policy and issue and maintain corrective action documents in accordance with the policy.
Communicate and prepare a wide variety of correspondence, including confidential and sensitive materials such as letters, memorandums, reports, hourly offer letters, and benefit summaries.
Collaborate with the HR team to support annual initiatives, including performance management, open enrollment, and policy changes.
Assist with Leave of Absence documentation and communications.
Support annual compliance and audit needs as required.
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as needed.
Adapt duties, responsibilities, and activities as required.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in data entry and data management.
Strong organizational skills.
Experience with Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of human resources practices, including onboarding and administrative support.
Experience in recruiting, payroll, and HR administration.
Proficiency in clerical tasks and HR systems.
Experience with filing and document management.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, HRIS, and Kronos.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to develop and refine processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1+ years of general Human Resources experience is a plus.
Knowledge of business office operations and administrative clerical tasks.
Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
Ability to work independently and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations.
Keen sense of urgency and flexibility in assignment of responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position operates in a standard office environment with a Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule. The dress code is casual, allowing jeans and a nice shirt.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
