All underground, exposed and overhead distribution systems including raceway, insulated, and non-insulated cable systems, all lighting systems, and all emergency systems. It is expected you will document work electronically.Medium, and low voltage cable pulling, and splicing for lead jacketed and EPR cables. Designated personnel required to climb high structures for servicing lighting.Update record drawings and create switching orders. Review and evaluate design proposals and specifications for feasibility. Effectively communicate verbally and electronically.Operate forklift, bobcat, backhoe, bucket truck, cable trailer, cable pulling devices, and assorted personnel lifts. Drive UT vehicle. Experience with standard hand tools, digital voltohm meter, high voltage tester, high pot, megohmmeter.Perform other related functions as assigned.Training certification required within 18 months. Maintains acceptable driving record as required by UT Systems Policy UTS157. Required to wear uniforms and carry University issues cell phone during work and on call hours. Participate in the on-call program and working after-hours.Perform other related functions as assigned. Attends staff, safety meetings, plant operation and maintenance training courses.
