Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Help with new equipment installations, upgrades and modifications, and monitor PLC software. Recommend and implement corrective/preventive measures to eliminate equipment problems and improve work practices. Participate in a preventative and reliability-centered maintenance program to optimize mechanical efficiency and production flow. Maintain appropriate documentation of condition monitoring, work performed, parts used, and follow-up needed as related to equipment maintenance. Maintain appropriate housekeeping standards in all work areas and assist co-workers as necessary in the same and other job functions. Work closely with production staff leadership to schedule required maintenance, and ensure appropriate alignment of machines and equipment. Perform all duties consistent with the Roles and Responsibilities defined in the company's OHS Standards and Guidelines and support the implementation of program initiatives.
Responsibilities

Essential Skills
Industrial maintenance
PLC troubleshooting

Ability to create PLC-program code and program documentation
Read and interpret blueprints and maintenance diagrams for electrical and mechanical components
Basic understanding of mechanical components and effective maintenance of various equipment, including advanced machinery
Hydraulics and pneumatics
Basic welding
Electrical maintenance
Repair and maintenance technician skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Around 3-5 years of electrical/automation maintenance experience
Knowledge of the National Electric Code and relevant OSHA requirements
Well-developed problem-solving skills
Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Background in mechanical aspects of maintenance such as welding, machining, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems preferred
Certificates and some college education
Industrial field certifications

Work Environment
The work environment is clean and safe, following a 5S program to maintain organization. Part of the facility is air-conditioned, although the main production line is not due to the presence of dryers which can make the area hot. When temperatures rise, the heat index is monitored, and production is stopped if it becomes too hot.

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $59280.00/yr.
