Litigation Paralegal
Our client, a leading litigation practice in Jordan, south of Salt Lake City, is searching for a 5 plus years litigation/trial paralegal to support their plaintiff's medical malpractice. This practice
group defends elders and other individuals injured by nursing home malpractice. We are seeking a skilled and experienced litigation paralegal, preferably with medical malpractice litigation experience.
Responsibilities:
Conduct initial and follow-up remote session client interviews.
Analyze interviews, and use acquired knowledge of the nursing care industry to provide early
input to the team to assess whether a case should be accepted by the firm.
Work with attorneys to conduct case specific medical research related to nursing homes and
medical malpractice claims.
Identify treating healthcare providers, request and obtain medical records, organize and
summarize records for litigation.
Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
Interview clients, witnesses, and healthcare professionals to gather relevant information.
Trial - preparing cases for trial and assisting attorneys in trial.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of or a willingness to learn nursing home standards, practices, and regulations
through self-study seminars materials and in-house instruction.
Associate degree or accredited certificate in Paralegal Studies.
3plus years of experience working as a paralegal in a plaintiff medical malpractice
Associate degree or bachelor degree in nursing
Trial experience - prior experience preparing cases for trial and assisting attorneys in trial is
highly preferred

Proficient in using Case Management Software
Experience with CompuLaw software
Ability to handle Billing Functions
Skilled in preparing Briefings
Experience in Calendar Management
Proven experience in Claim Administration
Excellent Communication skills
Expertise in Litigation ParaLegal activities
Experience in Litigation - Plaintiff cases
Skilled in Litigation - Filing
Familiarity with Litigation Matters
Experience in Litigation Practice
Ability to provide Litigation Support
