Aston Carter is working with a well-known company in the Kansas City area who is looking to bring on several Senior Accounting Managers to help them for the next 9+ months. They are needing someone who has strong corporate accounting experience, has a CPA, and has worked for a $1 billion+ revenue size company. These roles are fully remote if living outside of the Kansas City area. There is potential these roles will be extended later on depending on how the project goes. Key Responsibilities:
Subject Matter Expertise in Diverse Corporate Accounting Areas: Independently manage and execute the most complex accounting processes across a range of corporate accounting functions, which may include areas like leases (ASC 842), debt, equity, intercompany transactions, and other complex accounting topics.
Advanced Application of US GAAP and IFRS: Leverage deep, individual mastery of US GAAP and IFRS, applying complex accounting principles and interpretations to various corporate accounting areas.
Ownership of Critical Corporate Accounting Close Areas: Take full individual ownership and accountability for the timely and accurate completion of critical and complex portions of the monthly and quarterly close process across various corporate accounting functions.
Championing SOX Compliance (Corporate Accounting Focus): Individually ensure strict adherence to SOX requirements specifically related to corporate accounting processes, designing and maintaining sophisticated internal controls as a subject matter expert across multiple areas.
Driving Process Excellence in Corporate Accounting: Proactively identify, develop, and implement advanced strategies to improve and streamline complex corporate accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and mitigate intricate risks across various accounting functions.
In-Depth Corporate Financial Analysis: Conduct highly detailed and sophisticated analysis of various corporate balance sheet and income statement accounts, providing expert-level insights to support critical financial reporting and decision-making.
Expert Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate as a recognized subject matter expert with various teams, including Treasury, Tax, Legal, FP&A, and Audit, to ensure consistent, accurate, and best-practice accounting for complex corporate transactions and balances, providing authoritative guidance and resolving intricate accounting challenges.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
CPA license preferred
Shared services experience preferred
Experience working for a multi-billion dollar company required
Experience having direct reports required
SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft or similar experience required

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $105.00/hr.
