Job Title: Slitter Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking qualified Slitter and Coating Operators to join our team in manufacturing adhesive tapes for the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating production equipment and monitoring the production process.
Responsibilities
Load and remove cores and mini rolls
Inspect and pack tape rolls
Sharpen slitter knives at the frequency provided in Work Instructions using proper PPE
Clean slitter knives each sharpening cycle using the cleaner provided and proper PPE
Prep and seal cartons and stack them on pallets
Follow Work Instructions verified to Product number
Operate hydraulic electric lift pallet jacks
Complete all paperwork and labeling for each box
Complete accurate quality system documents
Follow all policies and procedures related to TS16949
Maintain safe work practices at all times
Maintain Housekeeping and Organization in the Converting area
Demonstrate safe use of sharps
Support 5S activities in the team
Perform other duties as required or assigned

Work Environment
Our brand new facility, about 5-6 years old, is climate-controlled and extremely neat and organized. There are two main departments: the Coating department, where operators add adhesive to one side of the tape, and the Slitter department, where larger rolls of tape are converted into smaller rolls using the slitter machine. You will be inspecting tapes and packing rolls in this supportive and structured environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ROCK HILL, South Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.00/hr.
