Overview
Location: Martinsburg, WV
Compensation: $31.98/hour
This position supports a good standing in the community, sustainable operations, and adheres to and upholds all company policies, safety standards and federal / state regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
Roles & Responsibilities
Transfer cement from silos to bins for packing and loading.
Operate grease and oil pumps, air compressors, and any other equipment related to cement transfer.
Remove and insert slides in the truck plant as needed.
Ensure proper testing and identification of the @type of cement being transferred into cars, trucks, or bins.
Take measurements of truck bins as required.
Obtain and deliver samples to the lab for P&S and Truck Plant testing.
Remove lumps from silos and air slides to ensure consistent pumping.
Properly pack and load all products using either conventional methods or a palletizer.
Operate a forklift to move empty or full pallets to and from railcars, trucks, storage, or palletizers.
Maintain bin silo inventories and other records, take necessary measurements, and report to supervisors and the office as required.
Remove broken bags from conveyors or pallets and replace them with intact bags, maintaining a clean warehouse area.
Perform necessary repairs, keep accurate records, check bag weights, and conduct preventive maintenance (P.M.).
Load bulk cement.
Verify that package trucks are loaded correctly.
Carry out minor PM tasks, including lubrication and minor machine adjustments to belt conveyors and V-belts.
Perform housekeeping duties in your areas of responsibility to ensure that the plant and equipment remain safe for operation and maintenance work.
Complete workplace inspections using the current FRA form before starting any work.

Ability, Skills & Knowledge:
Must be able to maintain records as required.
Must possess general computer skills.
Must be capable of properly lifting a bag of cement multiple times throughout the shift; the employee must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to climb steps and be in good physical condition.
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Previous experience in packhouses or rail loading is preferred.
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening, which may include a physical, background check, and drug screen.
